What should we expect from this Atleti against Rayo?

There was a lot of talk about low intensity against Las Palmas. As a coach, is it something that can be trained or should it come from the players?

I don't interpret that there was low intensity. We played poorly, and when that happens, the opponent can overcome you. The goal came from our mistake, and we had a very poor second half. There was nothing more to it.

When an important player starts playing less, like Griezmann, how do you manage his new role?

Luckily, with all the boys who have been in that situation, we have coexisted very well. We have spoken, and obviously the team's needs were established first. Then, feeling important from whatever position we have to take.

They already know me. The profile of player we need is clear and has historically been good for Atleti, not only in my time but always: personality, character, hard work, and putting the team first. Luckily, on this long journey, that's why we've been here for so long, we have had those types of players.

What should the current players understand?

For a coach, being at a club for 14 years means the players have performed extraordinarily. Coaches are not magicians or mind readers; we seek that something is represented. I feel fortunate to have been with footballers who have represented what I like about football for 14 years.

How is Pablo Barrios doing?

He is performing as we expected from him. We need him. He has a lot to give us, a very good present, and an even better future. This season he has taken a step further, has had more continuity, and more weight in the team's play. We will help him continue to grow. Against Rayo, we will assess him in the morning to see how he is feeling, and we will make a decision.

How do you see Oblak, will he win the Zamora Trophy?

He is doing very well in his personal work. He is having an important season, as he does every year. We still need his motivation. We always seek the collective, not the individual.
