FC Barcelona closely monitors the player market of those ending contracts in June 2025. Since January 1st, the club can already start negotiations with these footballers, opening possibilities to strengthen their team based on sporting needs and the economic limitations imposed by LaLiga's financial fair play.

FC Barcelona

Jonathan Tah

Among the standout names, German center-back Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen emerges as a priority option. At 28 years old and with consolidated experience, Tah is seen as a reliable defender, capable of adding guarantees to a position where Barça already has Ronald Araújo, Andreas Christensen, and Eric García, all under contract until 2026. His arrival could balance the defensive load and strengthen a crucial line for the Blaugrana team.

Thomas Partey

Another target for Barça is Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian midfielder from Arsenal. Partey, aged 31, stands out for his power and versatility, attributes that could cover the possible departure of Frenkie de Jong. The underperformance of the Dutchman has weakened confidence in his renewal, and the club is considering selling him next summer if he does not improve significantly. Partey, besides playing as a defensive midfielder, has shown adaptability in positions like right-back. His experience, backed by his years at Atlético de Madrid (2015-2020), make him an attractive option.

Reinildo

Barça is also closely following Reinildo Mandava, the Mozambican left-back from Atlético de Madrid. Although his prominence has decreased due to the consolidation of Javi Galán, his ability to play as a center-back positions him as an interesting alternative.

Alphonso Davies, Alexander-Arnold ...

In the club's wishlist are also included Alphonso Davies, the left-back from Bayern Munich, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, the right-back from Liverpool. However, their high cost and the competition from Real Madrid complicate these operations. Davies, for example, demands a signing bonus close to 30 million and a salary above 12 million, figures that complicate any move.
