The RFEF has made official the decisions of the Discipline Committee adopted on November 27, 2024, regarding the National First Division Championship, matchday 14.

One of the players who could have been sanctioned with more than one match was Unai López, who was expelled against Sevilla for: "In the 45th minute, player (17) Unai Lopez Cabrera was sent off for the following reason: For hitting an opponent on the back with excessive force without the ball being in direct dispute between them."

Taking into account this refereeing wording, the regulation is clear in article 121 point 1, which states: "in those cases where the player's expulsion from the field of play is due to situations in which the player had no chance to dispute the ball, the suspension will be at least two matches".

The Competition Committee has decided to maintain the sanction at one match:

"1-match suspension for violent conduct in connection with the game or as a direct consequence of a specific incident in the game, with accessory fines according to article 52 CD.. (Article: 130.1)".
