VALENCIA WANTS THE LOAN OF FRESNEDA AND HAS LIM'S OK

Valencia has the intention to add a right-back in the January market. After obtaining Peter Lim's approval and defining the available budget, the goal is to close the operation as soon as possible.  

The "che" team has already contacted the player and the Lisbon team to express its interest in having him on loan until the end of the season. For now, Sporting Lisbon shows a willingness to negotiate, although the club's internal situation, marked by recent changes such as the arrival of a new coach (Joao Pereira) and the possible departure of Hugo Viana to Manchester City, could alter the plans.  

Iván Fresneda stood out at Real Valladolid after coming up through the youth ranks of Leganés. His excellent performance in Pucela led Sporting Lisbon to invest 9 million euros in his signing in the summer of 2023. However, he has not achieved continuity, playing just five league matches last season and three in the current one.  

Fresneda fits the profile that Valencia is looking for: a young player with quality who fits the budget. Additionally, he meets the preferences of Rubén Baraja: being Spanish and having experience in LaLiga. His offensive ability and ease in joining the attack are particularly valued.
