Hansi Flick is faced with multiple decisions to make regarding the lineup for the match against Celta Vigo. On one hand, the absence of Lamine Yamal forces him to seek alternatives to maintain the level in the attack. Additionally, looking ahead to the duel in Balaídos, the coach must decide what to do with Alejandro Balde. The full-back is not at 100%, and the demanding schedule until the end of 2024 suggests not taking unnecessary risks.

In recent days, Balde has been dealing with muscle discomfort that prevents him from performing at his best for Saturday's match against the Galician team. In fact, on Thursday, he was unable to train with the rest of the squad. On Friday, however, he rejoined the group and showed better sensations. Nevertheless, for Flick and his coaching staff, a principle prevails: avoiding risks, especially with players with recent history of muscle injuries, as is the case with Balde.

With this scenario, it remains to be seen if Alejandro will finally travel to Vigo this Saturday. It is most likely that he will be called up, since during Friday's session the German coach did not resort to any reserve full-backs. The question lies in whether Flick will opt for Balde as a starter or if, on the contrary, he will give the opportunity to Gerard Martín to occupy the left-back position.
