Borja Mayoral was one of the names asked about this Wednesday on El Larguero from Cadena SER, José Bordalás. The Getafe coach expressed concern for Borja Mayoral's health and suggested that his return could be before the end of the year, always prioritizing that he is fully fit:

"The truth is that we are worried about the boy, about the lad's health. He is going through a very tough time, he has been injured for many months. An injury that at first seemed like it was going to be a short one and now it has been more than 8 months, and well now he is undergoing a new treatment. We are going to trust fully but we do not set deadlines, and we want him to be fully fit to be able to play." Regarding his return to the field, Bordalás was clear: "We believe he will be back before (the end of the year), but well, no rush. He needs to be fully fit because the lad is going through a really tough time."

"When we thought he was recovered, he even joined the group, played a few minutes in some matches, we did not want to rush him. We gradually gave him minutes. But he had issues, fluid accumulated in his knee, it was drained, he had setbacks again, and well, it has been a trend that was not good, neither for his knee nor for him. He has suffered a lot, and well, now we are being patient, and when he is fully fit, then it will be Borja Mayoral's time."
