The first team of Betis returned to training this Monday to begin preparing for their next league match, on Saturday at Mestalla against Rubén Baraja's Valencia, a game corresponding to matchday number 14 of the league championship. And they did so with a significant list of absentees.
Manuel Pellegrini led a session in which the most notable absence was Diego Llorente, who had to ask for a substitution 10 minutes into the second half of the match against Celta due to an overload. As of today, he is the big question mark for the match against Baraja's team.
Héctor Bellerín was also not part of the group dynamics on Monday, absent since being substituted at halftime in his team's visit to San Mamés due to some discomfort, as well as the youth team's center-back Nobel Mendy, who got injured with Betis Deportivo last Friday in Sanlúcar and is awaiting test results. All of them have joined the absences of the long-term injured players Isco, William Carvalho, and Marc Roca.
None of the internationals have returned yet (Johnny Cardoso, injured with the United States, Rui Silva, Ricardo Rodríguez, Lo Celso, and Abde).
