Real Valladolid has four players called up by their respective national teams during this November international break. One of them, Karl Hein, was a starter this Saturday in the Estonia match against Azerbaijan corresponding to Matchday 5 of the UEFA Nations League. The goalkeeper, a regular in his national team, played the full 90 minutes with a good performance, managing to keep a clean sheet.
The Estonian goalkeeper, who was recently criticized for his involvement in the goal conceded by Valladolid against Athletic Club Bilbao, returned to defend Estonia's goal. In the match against Azerbaijan, Hein made three outstanding saves, although he showed discomfort in his shoulder after one of them.
The match ended in a goalless draw, a result that ensures Estonia's stay in Group C1 of the Nations League. Two of Hein's three interventions were particularly noteworthy and occurred consecutively, as the "blanquivioleta" goalkeeper stopped two dangerous shots from inside the box.
Additionally, the Estonia number 12 goalkeeper complained of discomfort in his right shoulder after one of these actions, although he was able to continue the match without apparent complications. Estonia's next match will be against Slovakia on Tuesday at 20:45.
