The Rayo Vallecano player, 'Pacha' Espino, has returned to training with the team after recovering from the serious injury that kept him off the field for the last two months. The Uruguayan full-back completed half of the session with his teammates and then withdrew, thus taking a new step in his recovery process.
Espino suffered a fracture in his left fibula during the match against RCD Espanyol on matchday 4 of LaLiga, which required surgery and the start of a recovery process that was initially expected to be longer than it turned out to be.
In the press conference before the match against Alavés, Íñigo Pérez mentioned that he sees Espino's full return as increasingly imminent; in fact, it's been three weeks less than anticipated.
On the other hand, the franjirrojo team trained without Raúl de Tomás, who did not participate in the session with his teammates and trained alone in the gym. Rayo Vallecano will continue with its weekly training plan, with a new session scheduled for tomorrow, Friday.
