Ronald Koeman counts on Frenkie de Jong as one of the key pieces in the Netherlands national team, with whom he has not been able to play for over a year due to his continuous problems in his right ankle. This Saturday, De Jong will return to the field 433 days later in the Nations League match against Hungary in Amsterdam, as confirmed by Koeman himself, who also commented that the midfielder still needs time to reach his best level.

"He will be able to play the match on Sunday even if he has to train individually for a few days due to the knock he received (against Real Sociedad). He had been out for a long time and has not played a full match yet. He is still not at his best but it was important for us that he returned to be with the group", said Koeman referring to the contusion on his right shin received on Sunday at Anoeta.
